Balmoral Sailing Club

There are many ways to enjoy sailing at Balmoral - windsurfers, single handed boats, Aero, Laser, Contender, Moth and two person boats, Tasar, 505, National E, Mirror. We have a junior sailing program and a sailing school providing the Tackers program. Our regular race day is on Saturdays from September until the end of May and a number of members sail mid week, Sundays and throughout Winter. New members are always welcome. We can help you buy a boat and racks are available for boats that sail regularly. Have a test sail, try out the RS Aero, windsurfer, club Tasar or Mirror. Read more!

Welcome to BSC's Junior Sailing Program

For those who don't know, BSC has a Junior Sailing Program led by Andrew Dent, Gavin Cooke and Jono Allen of Balmoral Watersports. Nick Collis-George is the board member helping the group.

Nick explained, "The program for this year came together quite quickly using Jono's Tackers' contacts and general interest around the club."

Gavin Cooke added, "The Junior Sailing Program has started well with ten kids participating in the first two weeks. The first goal is to have three MJs and crews ready for the Manly Junior Teams Race at Balmoral on Sunday 15th October. We would like to invite any interested members and their kids to come down and have a look at the boats and the racing. There will be a barbecue after the race."

On Saturday 14th October make sure you are at the club ready for the start of the Spring Point Score competition.

Duty Class: Mirror / Moths

On Sunday 15th October BSC will be hosting the Manly Junior Teams Race. Gavin Cooke said, "The Junior Sailing Program has started well with 10 kids participating in the first two weeks. Our goal is to have three MJs and crews ready for the Manly Junior Teams Race this Sunday."

Gavin added, "We would like to invite any interested members and their kids to come down and have a look at the boats and the racing. There will be a barbecue after the race."

No Club Racing this Saturday

There will be no club racing this Saturday 30th September so everyone can have a chance to enjoy the long week-end ...or do those last minute repairs before the first Club Championship race of the 2017-2018 season!

The first Club Championship race is scheduled for Saturday 7th October 2017 at 14:00. Briefing to start promptly at 12:45.

There will be a barbecue after sailing so stay for a chat.
